I started and finished my year in review video, today, the very first day of 2023. I usually get going on this mid-December but motivation with most things is still lacking and I've just learned to roll with it. Be gentle with myself and when I'm ready I'll know.
The first half of 2022 was AWFUL (insert Jean-Ralphio screaming "the worrrrrrrst"). Things were not great in multiple areas of my life but as the year came to an end so did a lot of my troubles. This year was truly a mixed bag all around. Certainly, not the worst as a whole but also not on the-best-year-ever level either. I "graduated" therapy (for now) and am so proud of all the holes I dug myself out of, all the action I took, all the effort I put in. Depression made it that much harder but I prevailed. No one is going to save me but me. I know there will be many more lows to crawl out of, because life just keeps on keeping on, but I'm just enjoying my current high.
I made my own candle. I grew my hair really long (since 2020)...and then chopped it off. We hosted breakfast on Thanksgiving with our Zinzis. I went to somany local markets and shopped local. I transported my brother, Mango, with the help of Katie to Gainesville. Dustin somehow some way got me Taylor era tickets and I can't even bee 100% excited because it was such a shitshow and so many swifties aren't able to go. I watched a million new shows. My Floridian ass finally rode a glass bottom boat at Silver Springs. It wasn't until this year I learned I had rosacea. I hate lunch in what was at one time the world's largest indoor pool. I laughed so much. I cried a bit too. I helped where, when, and who I could. I journaled a lot. I bought a walking pad and really like it even if the cats don't.
