KT4T - Part 1

The birthday festivities started with this video that was very much a labor of love from myself and all who participated. I even made Katie watch the first time while I was on FaceTime, just to see her reactions (which did not disappoint).

A couple days later we all dressed up as our favorite Katie and went to brunch at Sixty Vines. I was originally going to go as 'Tree KT" but ended up making a right turn to "Crayon KT'. And yes, I made that crayon myself. My boss gave me 5 dresses of hers to try out and scroll to see the one that I picked.

Katie dressed as Jenna Rink from 13 Going On 30...or in this case 40. She killed it down to the accessories and dance moves! Brunch was a perfect combo of delicious food and hilarious happenings. We will never forget that Sebastion used name brand Scotch Tape and boy did he ever. Or that Allie wrote her wish for Katie's 41st year is to build her business and take Hayden on a trip. Or when Katie turned her meal into a artsy version of male genitalia. Or that our server was a goddamn angel baby who I made sure to tip handsomely.

The plan was for a smaller group of us to go over to the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tours, but as we drove through Winter Park during their big art festival we quickly realized it was busy as hell. Once we got to the tour there was no parking to be found and Katie overheard they were sold out for the remainder of the day. Womp womp. So we pivoted to plan b where we went to Kraft Azalea Gardens. Again, no parking to be had but after circling several times, Allie and I parallel parked in front of one of those insanely priced and equally beautiful houses. As we walked everyone was looking at all the little egret babies in multiple nests. You could hear all the chirping and the ground looked liked someone spilled paint everywhere (spoiler alert it was bird poop). The park was PACKED. We noticed a wedding taking place amongst all the other groups of people. I think Saturday, March 22nd was one of the busiest days in Orlando. I'm fairly certain not a single person stayed home to enjoy their rent. The weather was beautiful so I guess I get it. We took some re-creation photos of our different versions of Katie and then just went wild. Allie and Katie hugged a tree! Katie and I swung on a vine. Renee and Katie did their best Forest Gump. Then we closed it out with a bunch of group shots. Special shout out to my Apple Watch for helping take all of those.

Hope your 40th was everything and more. <3

Dustin Says

I call him a "human paper cut" because he's that annoying.

Dustin rehashing his adventure in picking up cat prozac.
Pharmacist: What's the patient's DOB?
Dustin: I don't know; he's from the streets. I wish I knew his origin story as told by Christopher Nolan.
Me: I was thinking more of a Wes Anderson vibe.

A lot of fat guys in commercials lately. I should become an actor.

Commenting on Cheeto's current state after gnawing off patches of hair.
He looks like he was in a blender or an extra in Pet Cemetery.

Dustin: She was in her 90s!?
Me: Yeah, mid-90s.
Dustin: That's a temperature, not an age. I expect to be gone around the fall season.

That's a great gift for a terrible person.

Dustin: My genetics are like a witches brew....wing of bat.
Me: Eyeball of rabid dog.
Dustin: Sasquatch pube.

Everyone wants me to go to his funeral, but I told them I'm not a "funeral person". The person I want to see isn't going to be there so what's the point.

Dustin: You've made me better.
Me: And you've made me worse.

Commenting on my curved toe.
It looks like a cashew hanging off your foot.
