This Month In Photos
Matt and I making really creepy faces. Ha! // Our new owl planter with new plant. I picked the planter and Dustin helped me pick a plant that I should be able to keep alive. So far so good!
How random is it that we ran into one of Dustin's old Palm Coast friends/co-workers while we were in Orlando. It's a small fucking world!
There's some dust in my lunch. // My animagus is a horse. Deal with it.
After dinner with boyz n the hood. L is for loser.
Dustin and I wore knee high socks all weekend because why not. // Newest most favorite oven mitt!
This took FOREVER. It's so much easier to do a braid like this on someone else's head. This also looks badass in a pony tail but I don't have a photo of that. Womp. Womp.

SAG Fashion
I loved the gold dress on her skin tone! I wish she would've done something a little fancier with her hair though.
Edith is bringing the heat and totally showing up her sisters and cousin.
She's always just the cutest. I love the layers and texture of the dress. It fits her body perfectly!
Arya who? Maisie cleans up so well every damn time. I love the length and I think it's age appropriate.
At first glance this is kind of a strange dress but I'm just so drawn to it. I think the blue outline is what makes this something special. The cut is fabulous on her too!
Another GoT character who always looks stunning. Her dress looks like a work of art.
Not everyone can pull off a one-piece suit but Julia sure as hell does. I like how fitted it is. It's just as sexy as any of the other dresses.
She is gorg! Gorg I tell ya! I love her simple wavy hair. Also, I'm a sucker for purple.
I love this suit/dress ensemble. I'm kind of speechless. It just works especially with her lipstick/hair color. Get it girl!

Currently
Working on: ALL THE DAMN VIDEOS! So I have a lot of videos. Probably even more than you think I have. After years of putting my videos on CDs/DVDs I'm transferring them all to my external hard drive. Why? Well, for one it's just a better way to store files and for two, it makes finding an old video a million times easier. I don't know where I'd be without the organization of my Flickr. Every photo is tagged by year, month, and person! So this is basically my Flickr with videos. I'm so close to being done but it has become insanely time consuming. I have worked on it for a month but really started to step up my game this week. After I eat dinner I'll sit at my desk and pop in CD after CD and move files around. Aren't you jealous of my glamorous life?!
Reading: All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I first heard about this book thanks to HelloGiggles. Then I went straight to the reviews and it was getting tons of 5 stars so I pressed the purchase button on my Kindle and away I went. I'm only 25% in but so far so good. I'm sure I'll love it as a whole especially when it's described as The Fault In Our Stars meets Eleanor and Park. Yeah, it's got to be a winner.
Feeling: Sad. Anxious. Forgotten. Unappreciated. Angry. This week has been rough. I've had all the feels and will continue to until the reason I'm feeling this way comes to some kind of resolution. I've had a ball of anxiety in my chest for days and quite frankly I'm fucking tired of feeling this way. I wish I could just turn off that part of my body but it just doesn't work like that. It's hard being me. I know I know, it's hard being anyone for one reason or another. But for me, it hard because I just feel too strongly. I do and I always will and that's that. There is no way around it. I fucking care and I wish I didn't. If I was in Aladdin and Genie was standing before me it would be my very first wish - make me not care.
Watching: Parks & Rec! Yay for Leslie and the gang being back on TV one last time. Dustin and I just caught up on this week's double episode and I was crying. I am so Leslie in every way. She's crazy stubborn and cares too much about people.
Dustin and I also saw Boyhood last week which was pretty damn good. I just loved how original the concept was. They filmed for a of couple weeks each year for 12 years and still managed to have a good flowing story. You literally watch the kids grow up and the parents age. It's a piece of art!
Excited about: SIMS 4 is coming to Mac in February. NEXT MONTH! Seriously cannot wait. I have whined and complained for months about there not being a Mac version and now EA is actually going to deliver. I still don't believe it.

Solar Bear Bentons
A couple months ago Rachelle and I got to talking about going to see a hockey game. The next minute I was looking up the Solar Bear's schedule and just like that the four of us were going to a game. The hardest part was waiting for January 17th to roll around but it did and we had the best time.
We ate at Chipotle beforehand which seemed like a great idea up until Dustin and I almost died. I'll keep those stories between the four of us but yeah, no fun.
We got to the Amway about 30 minutes before the puck dropped. It gave us plenty of time to go to the bathroom, find out seats, and let the boys walk around trying to hack portals on that damn Ingress game.
The game itself was highly entertaining. I mean, I got to witness the puck fly into the crowd for the first time ever which was scary and awesome. We also got to see a couple fights and make fun of the obnoxious family in front of us who were rooting for the other team with a damn cow bell. Dustin and Matt got us all ice-cream except it did not taste anything like cold stone. I was so disappointed I couldn't finish it. Bleh. But the Solar Bears ended up winning and we left happy campers!

What I Wore #14
Here's an outfit/photo from a couple months ago that I forgot to create a post for. Excuse my wrinkly sweater but my photographer (AHEM, Dustin) doesn't tell me these kind of things. I don't know about you guys but I LOVE the rusty orange against the navy blue. I feel like it's such a great color combo. It screams fall sophistication! Ha. This was clearly a casual Friday but even on those days I try and find something that makes me feel good. I don't just throw on any pair of jeans or any shirt.

Holy Shit, 2015
We're only a couple weeks into the year and I'm as overwhelmed as ever. Practically every weekend until Dustin's birthday in April is already booked with something to do. Now if you know me at all you know not to take offense to this if you happen to be one of those scheduled people. I love spending time with all of you but I also love my own personal (ME TIME) space too. I'm just a better, happier person when I have an equal amount of both. Typically I'll schedule something every other weekend so on the weekends in between I can sit around in bed and read or binge watch a TV or whatever. I just like to be alone as much as I like to be around my friends. Maybe it's because I'm an introvert or maybe it was my only-child upbringing or maybe I'm just a weirdo. I just know what makes my mind and body feel it's best.
So these next few months are already giving me anxiety. I can't stop thinking about the financial strain, the physical and emotional demand, and just that feeling I'm going to be pushing myself too hard. I know this sounds like whining but it's really not. It's just my personality to not want to do something or be with someone every second of every day. I don't want to feel rushed. I don't want to feel off.
I've got a ton of things to look forward to (which I'm so grateful for - obviously) like a Solar Bear game with the Bentons', Diagon Alley, Sam's Bachelorette Party, our anniversary, Katie's birthday in Savannah, Sam & Pat's wedding, a concert, & a trip to Pittsburgh for Dustin's 30th. Phew. It wore me out just to type it all. I'm excited of course and I have proudly listed each event on my calendar but that's a lot on anyone. I just wish everything were a little more spread out. I know it will all work out and a good time will be had but I just wouldn't be me if I wasn't stressed about it. 2015 might just be the new 2010. That was a fucking crazy good year and this one will be too if I can keep my shit together.
Come May, I'm going to walk into my bedroom, scream at the top of my lungs, take a 3 day nap, eat an entire pizza (and maybe a dozen cupcakes), take a couple deep breaths, and read a book in one sitting.

Golden Globes Fashion
Taylor Swift - Taylor wasn't even nominated but she outshines just about everyone anyway. I loved that she was there to support her good friend Lorde. Taylor's yellow gown with her signature red lips were just perfection! This is saying a lot because although I LOVE Taylor's every day style, I'm not a big fan of her red carpet choices usually.
Emma Stone - Oh Emma. I love that she wore a pant suit. It kind of reminds me of when my other favorite Emma (Watson) wore one on the red carpet last year. She sure can pull it off. This isn't an outfit I would have loved on just anyone.
Katie Holmes - I wish there was a picture of her and Josh Jackson so all of us Creek fans can pretend that Joey and Pacey really did live happily ever after. Katie looks gorgeous here. I love her long, sleek hair matched with that pretty plum dress. Go girl!
Reese Witherspoon - This dress fits her like a damn glove. The neutral sparkle really is so elegant. I love the simple hair and fresh face. Most of the time less is way more.
Anna Kendrick - She looks like a modern Cinderella in that gown. I love the cut and flowy-ness of the whole thing. What a beaut!
Jessica Chastain - I love LOVE this metallic dress on Jessica. It's kind of edgy but still glamorous.
Ellie Kemper - This is a weird one for me. I probably would have hated this dress on the hanger but Ellie rocks it. I love her whole ensemble.
Emily Blunt - I love this roman inspired dress. It's simple and sexy and Emily looks great. The only thing I would have change are her earrings. They just don't seem to work.
Gainesville: Paynes Prairie and Satchels
Over Christmas, while we were enjoying our family trek through the woods, my Aunt Sarah had mentioned going to Paynes Prairie sometime. Dustin and I had never been so we decided to plan a trip back up to Gainesville. We ended up going yesterday which was only two weeks after we were last up, but since the first half of this year is going to be a busy one I figured we shouldn't waste the chance to hang out with the fam, enjoy some nature, and get more moves!
Paynes Prairie was amazing! I totally get why everyone loves it so much. It's such a pretty and unique state park. We were just feet from alligators. No fences, no rails - just hanging out in the wild. And then just up the trail we spotted a couple wild horses. SO NEAT! Oh and it gets even better, because further up the trail, we saw a bison just laying around. No big deal. The trail is 1.5 miles one way and at the end there is an observation deck where the view is just incredible. It was a really nice day (pretty damn cold for Florida standards) but once we got moving it wasn't bad at all. It got pretty windy up on the observation deck but who cares with those views!

Next up was Satchels for lunch. This was another new experience for Dustin and I. There was a 25 minute wait so we walked around back to their little shop of random things. I don't really know how else to describe it. They had a bunch of fun, unique things for sale along with lots of other cool things to walk around and look at. Even their bathroom was awesome. I mean, fossilized poop display?! Yes.
We were going to eat in the blue van out front (yes, it's a table in a van!) but we were able to get in faster just eating inside at a regular table. Grey met us up there for lunch and we all enjoyed salad and tons of pizza. Everything at this place was amazing. The salad was the best I've had. The pizza, both the veggie and meat, were perfect. And to top it all off they make their own soda and it's out of this world. I didn't try the ginger ale but Hayley raved about it. I had the root beer and it was just crazy good. They give you your dessert menu in a view finder! We were too stuffed to get any of it but it was fun clicking through the photos.
We went back to my aunt and uncle's house where we went through old sheet music and fabric. We ended up bringing home a bin full of both. I can't wait to do something fun with it all.
2015 is off to a hell of a start.
