Anna's 39th

We celebrated the other A in AVA last month for her 39th. We met up at Mangoni in Winter Garden. I got there first (you know how I do) and grabbed us a table while Anna and Val texted me from their crazy Uber experience. They made it safe and sound and we got the party started. 

While we were waiting on our food Anna and Val got their drank on. Sure, they looked like Instagram perfection but I died laughing every time they took a sip because the frozen ball was not melting fast enough. Val tried chiseling at it with a knife and biting into it like a snow cone. Nothing worked. We were there for awhile and those suckers still had barely melted. 

 

Next up was Rouge Beauty Lab where we all got to make our own lipstick. We got to choose everything from matte vs. gloss, the color, and extra infusions like my fave girlie SPF. It was such a fun friend experience but also a creative one too. I went with a color called groupie that is giving sad girl autumn vibes which is really all I can ask for. It is of course in the orange family. Anna went with a more neutral pink and Val's was a bold pink. We were the only group in the place so the Beaty lab tech let us choose the music and Val immediately screamed "102 JAMZ IS BACK YA'LL" so 102 Jamz it was. We got low low low with Flo Rida and then tried to get Nelly out of a Dilemma. 

   

We got our insta-worthy shots and then some! Towards the end both Anna and Val FaceTimed their moms; We all said hi to both and then showed them to one another. It reminded me of the days when we'd flip landline phones (on separate lines obvs) opposite of one another so those two people could talk. I mean, it was the 90s. We had to come up with ways to three-way call that wasn't going to show on our parents bill.
