One of the things I was most excited about when visiting Erin in Texas was getting to see her place. Sure I've seen it over FaceTime but it's just not quite the same. I knew it would be the cutest because Erin knows how to put together a home more than anyone I've ever known. And her Texas apartment is her best work yet!
She lives in a one bedroom apartment. The front door opens to a staircase and her entire place is located on the second floor. At the top of the stair case is a gorgeous accent table. It's decorated perfectly which is the theme throughout. She is very contemporary but she throws in little surprises here and there.
Once at the top of the stairs her main living space is to the left and her kitchen to the right. I love the eat in bar area because you don't have to have a dining area (and she doesn't). The stools are very industrial metal but coated in white they fit seamlessly into the space.
Her living room is gorgeous to say the least. I can't even pick a favorite item. I love her rug - the blue pattern really brings a cozy vibe! I love her coffee table - the glass makes the room feel bigger than it is! I love her bright yellow accent/storage table - a pop of color is my absolute fave! Her window coverings are super simple but bring such an elegance and completed feeling to the space. Her little trinkets all compliment one another so well. From her vintage camera to the print I gave her as a going away present. From the personal photos to the candles. They all make it feel like a home rather than just a place you sleep at night.
From her living room, she has access to a balcony which is big enough for some cute patio furniture.
(Not pictured. Womp womp!)
Her bedroom has a more sophisticated feel but still flows with the rest of her house. I love a home that isn't too matchy matchy yet everything still fits together. She has accomplished that to a T.
I've watched her design tastes evolve over the years, but the one thing her current place and all her past residences have shared is how cheerful and bubbly I feel when in them. I love having a feeling of home when I'm away from my own and I've always been able to count on Erin for that.
