Listening to: Paramore's After Laughter. You guys! YOU GUYS! I cannot say enough about how amazing this album is. I've been a Paramore fan since the beginning and of course I love their old rockier sound but the new sound is just as good. Thrice does it with every damn CD. They sound completely different. Each CD has a new vibe. Paramore has stayed the funky rock path and I'm so happy because it's catchy and honest as hell. It's all I can listen to. I've even tried to listen to other music because I don't want to potentially get sick of it but no luck. Dustin probably already knows some of the songs by heart. Hehe. But yeah, that shit is on repeat.

Rose Colored Boy
Just let me cry a little bit longer
I aint' gon' smile if I don't want to
Hey man, we all can't be like you
I wish we were all rose-colored too

Fake Happy
And if I got out tonight, dress up my fears
You think I look alright with these mascara tears?
See, I'm gonna draw up my lipstick wider than my mouth
And if the lights are low they'll never see me frown

Grudges
Time is a bastard
I won't break my neck to get around it
But aren't we so brave to give up a fight
And let the years go by without us
'Cause now I feel you by my side
And I don't even care if it's been awhile
I can feel that we've changed and we're better this way

My Favorite Murder. If you're into true crime type shit then this is the podcast for you. Like I've always been into to an extent (I used to watch Unsolved Mysteries and I binged Making a Murderer like everyone else, etc) but it wasn't until I started listening to this did I realize I am really into it. It's just so horrifically interesting. I listen to it in the morning while getting ready for work. If you aren't following then just skip to the next part of this post but for all of you who truly get the intrigue - high five! Thanks Kim for the recommendation! I'm obsessed.

Annoyed about: a lot of really dumb first world shit. For example, Spotify. Some people are all about it and then there are the rest of us (ahem me and Dustin) who couldn't care less. I buy my music. If I want to stream it I just use Pandora because it's free. Maybe I'm just old school or maybe I'm just old and don't get the whole paying to stream music. It's basically renting which is fine with a house but I want to be a music owner. Ok end of this stupid rant and time to start a new stupid rant. Instastories. Need I say more? I posted on Snapchat a few weeks ago how instastories stresses me the fuck out. Also the fact that they totally stole the basics of Snapchat is pretty lame. I find Snap way easier to use and much less stressful. So if I don't watch your instastory it's because it's probably 100 people deep and I don't really care enough to search for it. Sorry but thats the truth. I do however watch everyone's snaps. Just how the cookie crumbles.

Thinking about: Losing weight...as I sit here shoving a peanut butter oreo in my mouth. I didn't even type that to be funny. That is the fucking truth. Goddamn they are so good though. Here's the thing, yesterday I had my annual. My bloodwork came back perfect in every category. Cholesterol was great. Blood pressure was awesome. Everything was in range as it should be. When my doctor asked me if I had any questions I asked him about my weight gain. I wasn't asking him "Why have I gained 30 lbs in the last year?". I was asking more if my anxiety pills had a role in it. He says that it is quite possible and asked me to start taking only half a pill for the next few weeks and see how I feel. If my anxiety is in check than I can continue like so which could help with the weight issues. That being said I am not naive. I realize that I don't always have the best eating habits. And when I do eat healthy foods I find it impossible to give up sweets. Sweets are my best friend and worst enemy. I'm hoping to really get my ass into high gear. I don't want to me supermodel thin. I just want to go back to my normal healthy weight.

Sad about: Amanda moving. It became extra real today and I'm pretty bummed. We have a week left together and then she's off on a new adventure. I'm so happy for her and her family and I admire their braveness to just start over somewhere completely new. I am way too much of a pussy to do that. I like staying in my comfort zone although I'm hoping one day I'll branch out but some of us are just meant to stay rooted. But I admire those that can move without a single thought. My anxiety gets the best of me and I'll come up with a million reasons why I shouldn't do it. I know we will stay in touch but it will never be what it has been these last couple years. She has become one of my greatest friends. I love running into her at Target or supporting her kids in their activities or our weekly lunch dates or meeting up for a shopping trip. I told Dustin that I'm trying my best to just cherish these last few days. I don't want to ruin them with sadness. On her last day I will let myself be as miserable as possible but not yet. She's not gone yet.

Excited about: On the total flip side of that I'm excited to go to Dallas next week to visit my boo (aka Erin). Speaking of a friend who up and moved away! Wink wink. I haven't seen her since she visited for Labor Day and I haven't been to her neck of the woods since 2015. We've done a hell of a job of switching off visiting each other. I have never had any interest in Texas until she moved there and not only am I excited to see her but I'm actually excited to be back in Texas. Well, Dallas area anyway. I cannot wait for some boo time. Also I finally get to meet Tucker!

Watching: Felicity. Yes, AGAIN. That show is better than any shit on nowadays. I love my annual viewing of the classic American tale of a girl moving across the country for a boy she doesn't know. Not only is the story telling on point but it brings me such comfort the same way eating a certain recipe of your grandmother's or smelling the scent of the house you grew up in. You know what I mean?
Iron Fist. Dustin's been a little turd and hasn't been watching many shows with me. I watched Luke Cage all by my lonesome. And now with Iron Fist I'm on my own again. I blame the Penguins quite frankly. I'm only a couple episodes in but I'm loving Danny Rand and just the whole vibe he's got going on with the martial arts. I am really impressed with the Netflix Marvel shows. They are so much different than the movies and for the better. I'm excited to see what Danny is going to do.
