Snow Cones in February

I spent the weekend running a bunch of errands.

I had to go by my mom's house to pick up some stuff and try and help her fix her DVD player, TV, and computer issues. I succeeded in one of those things. We talked for a bit before I headed over to Blue Bonnet to pick up more Leather and Amber scented candles for Katie and I. Then I was off to the mall and finally back home to take a much deserved nap. Ha!

Sam I went to the annual Vintage Valentines event over on Corrine Dr. We went a couple years ago and when I got the Facebook notification that it was coming up I asked her if she wanted to check it out again. There were a few vendors set up outside in the parking lot. We walked around and enjoyed all the fun vintage things, such as,  the Saved By The Bell board game (I know, how did I not buy that?).

We of course stopped in Dear Prudence and Park Ave CDs because duh! We were lucky enough to get to experience the new store The Lovely Boutique Market which I'd describe as a mix between Adjectives and Dear Prudence. They had just had their grand opening the night before. I hope they do well because they had  a lot of really neat stuff. I was good though and didn't buy one thing.

Sam and I walked to the old Snow Cone place we used to frequent as kids. When we were young it was across the street from where it is now and basically just a window. Now it's a fully functioning snow cone/ice cream shop. I'm traditionally more of an ice cream kind of girl but there was something nostalgic about getting a snow cone. So that's what I did. I got the cherry-limeade and although it was extremely sweet, it was so good! We sat looking outside, eating our snow cones, while coloring our nerd index cards. It was the loveliest of afternoons.
