Christy's birthday was exactly a week ago and boy did we do it up.
Since she has a December birthday and also loves Fixer Upper (don't we all?!) we throught we'd try to mix those elements to create a rustic Christmas birthday. It turned out even better than I was expecting. The girls and I just team worked the hell out of it because we wanted it to be extra special like her.
Lorna even busted out her baking skills especially for this event even though she recently retired that part of her life. But Christy (and the rest of us too!) just love her cupcakes so much. The salted caramel was DELISH.
We had a bit of a disagreement about what the banner should stay (ALYSSA!) but eventually we went with "Have a holly jolly bday" which I thought was a cute way to tie in both the birthday and holiday into one. Every seemed to like it except for one little grinch (ALYSSA). But I'm not naming any names.
