The Sunday before Christmas my girls came over for some family time. I made some of Katie's favorite things (banana bread and deviled eggs) and she brought some goodies and we snacked and dipped our heart out on the weirdest spread.
I had already given Katie her presents but she brought mine (Posty nail art - still need to try those out!, a Righteous Gemstones magnet, and a cute stack of customized book decor (which I actually received at a later date because shipping was a nightmare BUT she told me about it when she came over).
We also got to give the girls their gifts which was my favorite! We got Aubrie the Stranger Things record she had been eyeing, a POP, and a gift card. Kierce got a Phasma purse, a POP, AND the highlight of the evening **drum roll please** a box of "REG BRANDS". Dustin and I had just learned about Mini Brands and that every kid wanted their own for Christmas and we were so confused because they are literally miniature versions of regular day items AND DO NOTHING. Why would a kid want a mini spam? Or a mini Dove shampoo? I mean, MAYBE if you still played with Barbies but even then they seem more of a choking hazard than an enjoyable gift. So Dustin concocted a plan to buy Kierce regular size brands as a joke and it may have thrown her for a minute but as you can see in the video below we won her over in the end!
We finished the night playing games (Heads Up, Don't Feed The Gators) and posing for holiday pics in my make-shift photo booth. It was such a wonderful evening spent with some of my favorite people.
