two days of rain

SATURDAY:
i woke up at 7:30AM to pouring rain. and both my yoga buddies cancelled so i decided to not go either. my mom and i had made plans to see a movie, so we just went to an earlier one. do you know there are still movie theaters that are nice, playing new movies for only $4.50?! i couldn't believe it. we went to see dolphin tale. i totally cried the whole time. don't judge. it was a really good movie. a movie i would have normally waited to enjoy in my own living room as i'm not a fan of going to see family friendly kid movies in theaters but my mom and i don't really hang out all that often so it was nice to have some time together to enjoy a movie about the coolest dolphin.

i got soaked walking into the theater AND walking out. the rain hadn't let up at all. it continued like that until today! we had flood and tornado warnings all over florida. fun stuff.

SUNDAY:
dustin and i had plans to do some grocery shopping since we are out of everything. well, we have some water and about 3 eggs left in the fridge. so not EVERYTHING. but the rain just wouldn't stop. i didn't want any fast food so i decided rather than make a huge trip that once it lightened up a bit to run to target for a quickie of the basics to get us through until tomorrow. on my way back i grabbed the mail since it was still only sprinkling. AND LOOK WHAT CAME!

olivia munn always asks OMFG to send in their copy of any magazine she is on the cover of and she will sign and send back. pretty awesome, right?! she even tweeted this a few days ago. i sent mine out only a week ago. girl, signs magazines fast! i have loved her for years! and now we are officially best friends. we can braid each others hair and eat peanut M&Ms! yeah!

MAXIM and PLAYBOY from years past. dustin said i should get them all framed. agreed!

i also came back with some naked juice. i was reading a blog post on dear baby about how her daughter isn't very fond of veggies at the moment so she has been giving her trader joe's very green juice. that's when my light bulb went off and i thought - dustin! he doesn't like veggies (except corn and potatoes which are like candy veggies) so i got him to drink the naked juice (we don't have trader joes in FL so i had to work with what i had readily available). not only did he drink it but he said it was good!

we watched the steelers play all afternoon. and they actually played really well. that trick play with sepulveda - the puntisher?! loved that. highlights.

and there goes yet another weekend. it's been real. until next time...
