Dustin has been talking about the movie Prometheus for at least a year now. He's been reading about it on all his nerd sites and he couldn't wait until it was finally released. I wasn't really interested in it but I went with him because he's been quite the sport with my movies (i.e. The Vow, The Hunger Games, etc.) and that's what a good wife does. The key to a good relationship is going to see a movie with your significant other even if you don't want to. You do it because you care about the person, duh! That's all the relationship advice I'm going to dish out.
So Saturday, we went to see it. The theater was packed which makes me go like this -_____- (my unamused face). This movie was nuts from beginning to end. If you continue reading this I just might SPOIL it for you. So stop, go watch the movie and then come back and enjoy.
I went into this movie thinking I was going to be really bored but I actually really liked it. It was entertaining, gross, scary, badass, and it got me thinking. The entertaining part of it was just the fact that it's a prequel to the Alien movies. Also, space and uncharted planets are never boring. The gross comes in with lots of deaths and of course blood. There was a scene where one of the characters has an incision made to her abdomen, that I squirmed through. That shit freaks me out! Dustin had to tell me when it was ok for me to look, otherwise I would have passed right out. A lady sitting behind us actually got up and whispered to her date "I can't do this anymore" and got up and left and we never saw her again. The whole plot was very interesting. Basically these people are looking for where humans come from. They do end up finding out but it just leads to about a million more questions. It's a fun, crazy ride the whole way through. Trailer.
Dustin and I both must have ate something that did not agree with out stomachs because we were very sick the remainder of the day. I think I went to bed at 8PM. It was just miserable.
Sunday was the premiere of True Blood! Sam came over to watch it with me. She had to drive through a damn monsoon just to get here. It was definitely the worst storms we've had in awhile. Lighting, thunder, wind, oh my! The power flickered on and off for a second about 10 minutes before TB started and I almost freaked out. But instead, I kept my cool, grabbed a flash light, lit a candle, and proceeded to get comfy on the couch in my favorite pink snuggie.
It was such a good episode! I mean most of them are but I just got hooked on this show recently, so it's all still new to me. So many new questions!
