Favorite quotes:
Wanting to die seems like it might be a part of being alive.
People have children for all sorts of reasons, I know, but one of those reasons must be that children growing up make you feel that life has a sense of momentum - kids send you on a journey.
How do people, like, not curse? How is it possible? There are all these gaps in speech where you just have to put a "fuck".
There was a breakup coming, you could smell it, and no one was saying anything. And it was the same reason, which was that we'd taken things as far as we could, and there was nowhere for us to go. That's why everyone breaks up, I guess: bands, friends, marriages, whatever. Parties, weddings, anything.
Watching: I also just watched the movie A Long Way Down! See trailer below. I actually liked it A LOT more than the book which is super rare for me. But I felt like the actors brought more life into these characters than what was on the pages of the book. Speaking of actors, I LOVED the cast. My new girl crush is totes Imogen Poots ever since I saw her in That Awkward Moment. And everyone loves Aaron Paul aka Pinkman. And Pierce, Toni and Dr. Alan Grant. They switched tons of story lines around and added and took out so much but it all worked really well. I felt like it flowed so much better. If you get bored and want something to watch check it out on iTunes.
I also just recently watched Mermaids for the first time. Yeah, the one from 1990. It's one of those movies I've always heard about as being somewhat of a cult classic, especially for girls, so I figured why not. It was on HBOGO and I had a free afternoon. First of all I love Cher, Winona and Christina. Even though the characters they played were a little nuts I did enjoy the movie.
Listening to: Undecided by Ace Enders. I don't think he's ever made a song I didn't like.
But I got to stop thinking
my time away
Being aware is not
hoping for better days
In the end I'm just dirt
getting blown away
Excited about: iPhone 6! Holla! Dustin and I upgrade to the new iPhone every two years like clockwork. This year is no different. We were able to pre-order the 6 on Friday and will hopefully have them next week. I have never had any interest whatsoever in switching to an Android. For what? I like Apple. No, they aren't perfect but I've been overall very happy with every single Apple product I've ever owned. Not only that but you can't beat their customer service. Now I know people who hate on the iPhone like to compare them to whatever trendy Android is currently "all the rage" but the numbers don't really mean anything to me. Screen size. Resolution. Camera. Blah blah blah. They are all good! It's honestly just a matter of which phone you like better. I like the iPhone because Apple products are not only pleasing to the eye but also super simple to use. I also like them because literally every single person I am in contact with has one too which makes iMessage/FaceTime possible. iMessage is important as Dustin and I DO NOT pay for any texting at all. If someone with an Andorid sent us a text we do not receive it. I think it's dumb to have to pay for texting at this point in the cell phone game so we never have.
Bummed about: Having to say goodbye to my Grovemade iPhone 5 bamboo case. I have had two iPhone cases in the last 4 years and they were both made of bamboo by Grovemade. BUT now Grovemade dropped the bomb that they are no longer offering bamboo (maple and walnut only) AND they are no longer doing engraving. Oh and they hiked the price up by $30. I was so upset by all of this I wrote them an email which they kindly responded to and answered all of my questions. But what it really comes down to is they were once this little business with an awesome product and now they are running things like a corporation straying away from what made them a success in the first place. Hey to each his own. So now I'm struggling with finding a temporary case until I can find a SOLID wood case from somewhere else. I hate plastic cases. They just seem so cheap and not durable at all. I mean Dustin's case protected his phone but the case itself started to peel off. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS. Yeah yeah. I'll probably go with a design from Society 6 until I find a permanent one.
