Thinking about: So I haven't really blogged this past week. I was too busy watching TV, reading, and playing Sims. Also, I just didn't have anything to say.  I hate filling up this space just to do it. Just to have something for me to type or just to have something for people to read. It should always be quality over quantity. If I'm not feeling it then I'm not going to post anything. I know that kind of sucks because I also enjoy reading several blogs on a regular basis. I also get disappointed when I check their sites and nothing new is up. But I get it. Life gets busy. Or not. And sometimes it's just not priority or not genuine and natural enough to post anything.

Listening to: Vanessa Carlton's new EP Blue Pool. I knew this was being released about a month ago thanks to an article I read. I bought it the morning it came out and I've been playing the 4 songs on repeat like nobody's business. I have always loved her and have continued to buy her music long after her 1,000 miles fame wore off. She is a great musician. I'm excited to hear her full length that comes out this fall. Yay new music!

Watching: So much like True Detective (season 2) fizzled out early on so had So You Think You Can Dance. The auditions were great but the actual show is not doing a damn thing for me. I think the new structure of the show is awful. I've quit watching. Womp womp.

Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck - I've been meaning to watch this ever since it was released on HBO but just got around to it a couple days ago. It's good. You really get a sense of who he was and at the same time he's a complete mystery. But he's intriguing nonetheless. Worth a watch for sure!

Trainwreck - So Dustin and I had a very rare mid-week little date night last week. We went to a nice dinner and to see this movie for no reason other than we could and wanted to. This movie is hilarious. I mean could it be anything but with Amy? No. The answer is no. I love her. She's like the new Chelsea Handler always pushing the limits. This movie is packed full of athletes but most notable Lebron James and John Cena. Cena is fine but Lebron really brought his A-game. I'm not a basketball fan AT ALL but I'm Lebron's newest fan. I know this is "Amy's movie" and all but I've got to say my favorite was Hader. Bill is just the best in everything. If you want to laugh at super crude jokes while enjoying a sporty romantic comedy then go see this sucker right now!

They Came Together - So I was in the mood to just lay in bed and watch a movie when I came across this one on Amazon Prime. I love Amy. I love Rudd. Let's do it! Now I didn't realize this was a spoof kind of movie until I was like 25% into the movie and I started to pick up on the queues. Ha! It was funny with some slight cheese but pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

Working on: Re-doing our living room. We've been talking about getting a new couch for the better part of the year. Finally we found what we wanted (almost the exact same couch we have now but in gray) online. We decided to go to the store so we could test it out. We walked in with a game plan to just tell the vultures (aka salespeople) that we are just looking (aka leave us alone). So we start walking around after being greeted by a woman that looked like Madam Hooch. After a few minutes  I notice out of the corner of my eye the lady who greeted us aka the Quidditch Professor at Hogwarts is tailing us. Dustin and I kept coming up with ways to lose her. "We could hide under that bed!" "Let's cut through this opening in the wall." I mean they are almost worse than car salespeople. After we couldn't find our couch (or any other one we liked) we were forced to ask her if she could check her system. It turns out they carry the matching chair and ottoman but no longer carry the couch. Well that doesn't do us any good. She tried her best to get us to buy 10 other couches. We were like no. Nope. No thanks. Not ever going to happen. Then finally we were over it and told her we're done. She didn't give up on her sales pitch until we walked out of the door. Then we went to another store that had nothing. But at least their salespeople gave us our space. We ended up finding and buying the couch we wanted online. Weird I know. We're both kind of nervous about it but hoping for the best. Fingers crossed. I'll probably post a whole blog devoted to our updated living room once it's done.
