It took me entirely too long to sign up for a library card as an adult. I hate to admit I was THIRTY FUCKING FIVE. I'm not sure I ever would have if it weren't for the pandemic. I've always been a huge reader but now I get the majority of my books via Libby or Hoopla thanks to my library card. In this economy free is always appreciated! Also check out your library's event calendar. They always have a lot for kids but even cooler than that they have a ton for adults too. I just quickly looked at mine and they have everything from a AARP Tax Assistance class to a guitar club to a game night. You can even rent movies if you're feeling nostalgic for blockbuster. Something for everyone.
