Planning: Vacation on the brain! I just got done booking our car rental for our Pittsburgh trip in October. We have secured a Ford Escape (or similar vehicle). This trip we have been waiting forever for, is less than two months away. Actually, I can now say "We;re going to Pittsburgh NEXT MONTH!". Pinch me! Not really, that hurts. Jump and scream excitedly with me. In spirit.
Listening to: 'Say It Like You Mean It' by The Starting Line. This CD is one of many I used to listen to over and over throughout my high school days and I still have a select few songs on my iPhone from it. I just got an email the other day that TSL is on tour playing this CD for it's 10th Anniversary (I am so old!) in it's entirety. I would love to go but the only person that loves it as much as I do, lives in another state and we really don't talk anymore. So boo to that.
Debating: I really want ombre hair. Like bad! My boss' daughter does hair and it always looks fantastic so I want to talk it over with her. But I'm really nervous because I have had such a severe reaction to dye in the past. Proof. Yeah, hair dye and I are kind of enemies. I think the ombre look would be ok though because the dye would only be near the end of my hair and no where near my scalp/skin. I haven't mentioned it to Dustin yet because I know he will freak out. He's probably reading this right now freaking out. Hi, honey! =] It's JUST a thought. Don't be a spaz.
Hoping: That the iPhone 5 will be announced on September 12 and available SOON after. Source. Source. Source. Dustin and I have both had our iPhone 4s for 2+ years already and although they are still great, they've seen better days. Dustin recently dropped his phone and although it still works, there is a spiderweb crack covering the entire screen. I've been having problems with mine for about 6 months now. Nothing too big - the home button constantly sticks, my music only goes forward (I can never hit the back button to listen to a song - annoying!), I have freezing issues so I'm always having to turn it off and on and I never get calls/VM until days later. We are ready for the latest and greatest in the form of iPhones. Fingers crossed!
Reminiscing: I can't stop watching old videos. Dustin and I just like to sit in bed and watch one tape a night. Last night we watched a tape that had video of the following: Dustin shooting Pat with paintballs, Spike pissing in the bathroom and on Dustin, Dustin and Matt house hunting for our first place, Valentines 2008, Guitar Hero with Rachelle and Matt, Katie and a BABY Aubrie, and a ton of other shit. I love reminiscing. I love feeling nostalgic. I just love being transported back in time like that. Sure, we all remember little things here and there but it's mostly the big events. I love how video taping life (not ONLY the big things like birthdays and weddings, etc.) can bring back such good feelings and memories you completely forgot about. It's neat to see how far we've come and how things have changed.
Amused by: Dustin is in the middle of his first Fantasy Football draft this very moment. He's always hated FF because he "can't cheer for anyone who isn't a Steeler". And I loved that about him. But his buds needed one more person so they convinced him to join them. What I find hysterical is that all of his players are from the Steelers (Big Ben, Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, Steelers Defense, etc.) except for a few guys. He said to me just now "I think I'm doing this wrong but I don't really care". Right on. Steelers forever.
