SATURDAY: We woke up early and got to Ikea at 9:30. Thirty minutes before they even opened the main furniture area. So Dustin and I both got breakfast. French toast sticks, eggs (too watery for my liking), potatoes, and bacon for only $1.99. A steal!
After breakfast we got down to business. We have finally decided on a new bed! I CANNOT WAIT. We also bought a table for my sewing machine/crafting (squeal!), a storage cube, and some other little things. Definitely a successful Ikea trip (minus them being out of the shower curtain I wanted!).
From there we headed to Best Buy and I purchased Tiger Woods (not the golfer but the xBox360 game. I'm not made of money!) as an early birthday present for Dustin. His birthday isn't for another 2 weeks but I just can't wait that long and neither can he. The minute he knows I have something for him he follows me around looking really cute so I'll give it to him. It's sweet and annoying. Mostly sweet.
We came home and put together all of our new furniture. We were also productive in hanging some art and his guitar finally has a place on the wall. In a burst of energy I decided to move some things around in the garage. I got our old rugs down and moved Dustin's drums on them. I will leave them for him to set up because I wouldn't even know where to start but at least now it's ready whenever he is.
The Pens pulled out a win even after Sid the Kid got hit in the face with a puck which caused a few teeth to go flying on the ice (and injuring his jaw). OUCH. I think full face masks should be mandatory for all players. Yep.

Sam and Pat asked us to come to their old apartment one last time to take a picture. I was all "SURE!" and there we were. I thought she meant she wanted me to take a picture of her and Pat but she actually meant the four of us which was so nice. I had just been thinking that we had helped move her in, been there on the day Pat moved in, and now here we all are celebrating bigger and better things. So cool! I set the timer app. on my phone and we took a few pics. One nice one and one boyband poster one. Because OBVIOUSLY how could we not?
Then we finally got to see their new place! It's so much bigger and just lovely! I couldn't be happier for them. I mean a laundry room and fountain view and a very intriguing garbage can/bench. It's all so awesome. High five!
Back seat drivers. Pat drove. I'm pretty sure this was the first time I had ever been driven around by Pat. Not driving kind of rocks. I got to play on my phone and take silly pictures with Dustin. I highly recommend the back seat.
I went with Sam to her mom's to let Romeo out and feed him (and clean up cat vomit). While we were out we stopped by Target so she could get some Easter goodies. The Easter aisle was chaos and almost empty! We met back up with the boys and went out to dinner. Everyone wanted to go some place that doesn't exist in Florida (like Fazolis, Jack In The Box, etc). We finally decided on TGIFridays except there was a 25 min. wait so we were like "SEE YA, WOULDN'T WANT TO BE YA!". Then we tried Chilis but there was a wait there too. We settled for Jason's Deli. I had eaten Jason's a handful of times but never at the actual restaurant. It was always for a work function. We all got pasta except for Sam. AND we all got ice cream. Did you know they have free ice cream? How did I not know this?
People need to tell me important things like that!
We went back to Pat and Sam's and hung out. They had some issues with getting their TV to connect with the DVD player. It was pretty amusing to watch. But eventually they got it to work and we ended up with Inception as background noise. We played a game (totes forgot the name!) that asks somewhat personal questions. The four of us pretty much know all of each other's "dirt" but now we know even more! Hurray! There were some really awkward yet hilarious moments. I wish I would have got some of it on video but it's probably for the best I didn't. Sam has copies of all of our answers so that's good enough for the memories! HA!

SUNDAY: Dustin and I don't "do Easter". To us, it's one of those holidays you really only celebrate if you are religious or have kids. Neither of those things applies to us so we treat it as any other Sunday. We bummed around and it was glorious. This year Dustin did get me some bubbles and we went out to the front yard so I could go bubble crazy. And I did. The end.
