Shirllows

I've always had a thing for button ups. You should see my closet! It's bad! But as time goes on, some of my fave button ups are faves no more. Button up shirts are the EASIEST to make into pillows too. AND they turn out pretty awesome.

I bought this shirt from Target and wore it ONCE. The shirt was funky and I liked it but I think it's cooler as a pillow. I kept the collar of the shirt in tact and hope to one day soon sew it to the bottom of an apron!

Most people who are fellow Duck lovers would wonder why we would cut this awesome shirt up and turn it into a pillow...well it's because Dustin has two of the exact same shirt. I can't really remember the whole story but I think I ordered him the shirt and when it arrived there was a mark on it. So, they sent us a new one and told us to keep the other one. Turns out the mark came out in the wash! So there you have it.

This is another one of Dustin's shirts and it's one of my faves! It's such a simple striped button up shirt but it's a lot more fun as a pillow. I also like that I can make bigger pillow covers with Dustin 's shirts because duh he's a guy!

I bought these green cargo pants from Old Navy way back in high school. I loved them. I wore them for years! But then one day I was cleaning out my closet and I felt like it was time to say goodbye and make room for some new pants. But I didn't want to part with them completely because they weren't just your average pair of cargos. The pockets were extra cool with the added detail of the "ribbon" and the backs of the legs had pink embroidered flowers. Lightbulb! And so far I've been able to use them to make two pillows! The little one with the embroidery is available. The dino pillow is long sold.

No point in having a Staal jersey when he is on another team now. We lost a player but gained a pillow. PENS!

I wore this shirt a lot but one day that stands out is our wedding day. I wore it to get my hair and makeup done! The back of the plaid is one of my vintage Harry Potter shirts from high school. Unfortunately (or fortunately) digital cameras weren't really a thing yet so I don't have a photo of me wearing it.

I looked high and low on my Flickr to find pictures of Dustin wearing the Thrice shirt (way before my time!) and Rushmore shirt seen below. Boo! But I can confirm they are super snazzy because they both have already sold!
