i had been against kindles and any kind of electronic book readers for some time. but this past year they have really started to grow on me. i started doing research here and there and mentioned to dustin that i planned on buying myself one in the near future. well, he beat me to it! my brand new kindle fire came in the mail on tuesday and dustin wanted me to open it right away even though it was meant to be a christmas present. he talked me into it and helped me set everything up. i am in love! IN LOVE!

everyone commented "why would you open it so early?". the thing is we hardly ever ever can wait until christmas day to open each others presents. also, we're adults and the best part of being an adult is making up your own rules. who says we HAVE to wait until 12/25? no one. we are a family of two and in our family things are usually different from about 99% of other families. we do what works for us. dustin said he bought it while on sale now because it is expected to sell out by black friday. and his reasoning is since he "had" to buy it early he rather it be put to use right away then sit on the counter for a month and then under a tree for another month. i was hesitant but game. and now i'm so happy i got it and opened it early. i think this is just the thing to get me out of my reading rut.
