Hell yeah weekends!

I've been writing several blog posts in my head for days now but I can't seem to sit still at my computer long enough to really post anything. I've been reading A LOT. I'm equally in shock and proud of myself about this. I've been in a reading funk for quite some time so this is big. I feel like a piece of me has returned. Yesterday morning I woke up at 5:30 (yeah, 5:30 on a fucking Saturday. WTF!) because I had to pee. But then I couldn't go back to sleep. I was suddenly wide awake. So I instinctively grabbed my iPhone and quickly realized the rest of the 'world' was asleep like normal human beings. Nothing new to read on Facebook or Twitter. No new pictures on Instagram. I moved to my Kindle and read for hours. In the dark. Kindle's are awesome like that. No need to turn on a light which means I didn't disturb Dustin. I read until sunlight started to peak through our blinds.  Dustin woke up around 7 (which is unheard of). We cuddled in bed and talked in a language only we are able to understand. We giggled like we had only been together a month. Yeah, it was dreamy. Then Dustin cooked me breakfast (eggs, bacon, and a thin cinnamon raisin bagel). We watched the latest episode of Modern Family while we inhaled our food. Afterwards, he played Mass Effect and I went back to reading. I curled up in the corner of our L-shaped couch and read for awhile. I read until I finished my book. When I was done I felt such a sense of accomplishment. I mean, I know I don't deserve a pat on the back for finishing a book but it's been a personal struggle recently that I feel like I've overcome. I cleaned the house. Laundry, dishes, the usual. Even did my best Cinderella impression as I cleaned our wood/laminate floors on my hands and knees. Why wouldn't I just use a mop? We don't own one. Why wouldn't I just use a swiffer? It leaves a residue. So I did the entire floor by hand. Dustin thought I was crazy and later in the day when we took a trip up to Target bought me a special mop/swiffer thingy that was made specially for laminate wood floors. Wooo! Dustin and I were planning on going paint balling with some friends (ex co-workers) of mine. We all bought discounted tickets back in January at the Food Truck Bazaar. We had scheduled to all go in February. And then we re-scheduled for March. But people kept bailing or trying to reschedule. I'm a planner and as much as I try to be go-with-the-flow about that kind of thing, I'm just not. I like plans. I like to stick to plans. It's one of my biggest pet peeves to break plans (for dumb reasons) and especially over and over. So needless to say we didn't get to go paint balling. Dustin and I decided we'd just go by ourselves at a later date. As disappointed and annoyed as I was by the whole thing, it was kind of perfect. Things happen for a reason. And Dustin and I enjoyed the shit out of our no-plans-stay-in-pajamas Saturday. We went to Target around 3PM and it was 59 degrees. So weird for it to be so cold in March. We almost got blown away in the parking lot. I stopped by Starbucks and got a little treat. Mocha frap thank you very much. It could be 20 degrees and I'd still pick a cold drink over a hot one. We strolled around and picked up the essentials. Bread, dish soap, tampons, and tartar sauce (but it really isn't a sauce is it? more like a dip?). We also got Nike + Kinect Training for Xbox 360. Dustin wanted something he could do at home but I'm excited to try it out too! And we also bought a basketball because we live so close to hoops now. What what! The minute we got back, I jumped right into bed for a glorious nap. I am not great at sleeping in but I am an expert napper. I don't mean to brag, but I just am. Some people can play instruments, paint masterpieces or perform surgery. I can nap like a mother fucker. I ended my night with more reading (a different book). I had a horrible dream last night. First I dreamt I got this hideous tattoo on my calf. Second, I thought when I woke up it would be Monday. I was so relieved when I finally realized neither of those things were true. It's only 10:30 and I  have my whole Sunday before me. I think I'll go to the gym (I've only been once this week). I think I'll start some more of those blog posts I mentioned (my head is starting to feel too full). I think I'll stay in my pajamas AGAIN (because there's nothing comfier). I will definitely hang out with my husband (because he's my favorite ever). I will definitely read (because I'M BACK). Hell yeah weekends!
